Got a few last pictures on Saturday of the snowy landscape before it melted on Sunday.  And of course the obligatory dog pic.  This is of Porthos and Guinness who were out wrestling around on the deck.  Brotherly love.

Had a great evening out at my husband's annual work party.  Thanks to my glam squad consisting of Zahir picking out the dress to Tim doing the hair.  It's always nice to have the occasional fancy evening out with the one you love.

Some days are great, some days not so much.  One of the focuses of doing this blog has helped me clarify the need to let the negative go and focus on the good.  Some days the good is better than others.  One friends Facebook post reminded me how very small my problem was, another friends text message reminded me focus on what I can control and not what I can't and a group text from some far away pals reminded me I have a loud cheering section even if I don't see them often enough. But the best is always my sweet husband who is my constant champion. Tomorrow night I get to put on a gorgeous dress, some killer shoes and celebrate.  So to all my champions.....all the love.

Some more fun in the snow.  I'm really grateful to be able to work from home when I need to because it allows me little moments of sweet joy with my family during the day.

I'm so proud of all the work Mike did to get this blade and chains on the mower.  It made plowing our very long gravel driveway seem effortless.  The person without 4WD on their car thanks you.

Headed home from work a little early today to avoid the stupid-crazy (yes that's an official term) commuters.  Had a little time before dark to get outside.  Mike was throwing the ball for a very happy and active Sheldon, Guinness and Porthos.  You can see from the last picture exactly what Eleanor likes about the snow....going inside.  

I have no idea how I got him in such a zombie looking action pose.  CREEPY!!

Another chilly day.  I rarely think anything with "cardinal" in the name is great (Go Royals), but the birds were just to close and beautiful not to get a few more photos on a cold winter day.

With a surprise snow (or surprise to me anyway) overnight, decided to drive through the nearby state park on my way home from doing errands and then also got some beautiful birds eating out of our feeder.  It's cold, cold, cold but sunny and snow makes for a beautiful day.
