I will finish my 365... I've had some new challenges I've embarked on in the last 2 weeks which has caused me yet again to not be with my camera as I'd like. But I've also encountered some great new photo communities here in Columbia. So even in 2 ish weeks when I finish my well over 365 project I will continue to take pictures but blog them in a new way. For today however we have chickens brought to you by the ever expanding small farm of our neighbors. The chickens love to come to our yard. Not sure if the bugs are better in our yard or if they just enjoy the bonus of driving our dogs crazy.

Project 365 Day 341
We had our BFF Michelle here all weekend and had such a wonderful time! The dogs adore her and she adores them. Eleanor is clearly exhausted and Sheldon is wondering who will throw the tennis ball now?

Project 365 Day 339
We went to Blackwater, MO today to a graduation party and after, drove around town a little and got a few cute shots. This is a place you could walk around for hours and find really unique things to snap. And of course when we got home had to spend a little time in the yard playing ball with Sheldon.

Project 365 Day 335
This has not been the easiest of weeks in our household. Both Mike and I had losses in our family this week. The bright side of that is to reconnect with those that we love. We've done lots of that this week.
Yesterday I made a trip to Iowa to pick up some things from my grandmother's apartment. On the drive home I saw a sign for a covered bridge park and decided to take a detour. I was so glad I did. That detour is exactly what my grandma would have wanted me to take.
Go on a drive, take a side road, see the scenery and celebrate the beauty. Those are all gifts that she gave to me. I loved her greatly and am happy to have taken this detour with her.

Project 365 Day 333
Got our beds cleaned out and mulched and new flowers bought and in planters. What a good way to spend a Sunday.
Project 365 Day 332
First caprese pasta salad of the summer like season. The fact that we can get fresh tomatoes and basil.... tis the season.
Project 365 Day 331
Things are beginning to grow.
We've only been trying to grow asparagus for 3 years. It seems like we get the same 6 skinny, tiny stalks, but still, it's exciting when it shows up each year. |
The strawberry plants have flowers and are ready for action! |
Didn't have my zoom lens on at the time this owl showed up. Boy are the dogs a fan of him. |
