Project 365 Day 85

Saturday I drove to Iowa to spend the weekend with my mom and my grandmother.  I love taking trips I've taken tons of times and finding new things to look at.  

I also took a side trip to a couple of small towns near where my grandparents farm was.  These are places where I have strong and distinct childhood memories.   It was great to try to capture that in a new way.  

There are also pictures are of the school where my Dad attended high school.  They had all the grades in this school.  My Dad was also Valedictorian of his class.....of 7.  

Finally pictures of my grandmother, who is 102.  She still looks wonderful.  She doesn't hear very well at all and doesn't remember everything, but you wouldn't either after all those years.  But she still has the same sweet smile and vibrant spirit.  She had both of her sons, 2 of her grandchildren there this weekend and 3 of her great grandchildren.   She was clearly so happy we were all there.  I bought her some tulips because yellow is her favorite color and they just reminded me so much of her.    Time with family is always a treasure.
