Project 365 Day 36 - 03/21/15

These pictures are all from our travels up and down Pike's Peak.  It was truly a once in a lifetime experience because I will NEVER make that drive again.   The closer we got to the top, until we actually reached the summit area, the fewer my pictures are.  My fellow travelers were nice enough to take pictures on their phones of me with my head covered by my jacket, clinging for dear life.   My friend did a GREAT job navigating that drive in our SUV.   If I were driving, I would have driven us over a ledge.

I was glad that I did it.  It did show me that conquering some fears are possible, though I still have no desire to do this by car again.  I would like to go again sometime with Hubs only travel by the tram, definitely.

The view from the summit was absolutely stunning.   The absolute joy on the faces of the people who were up there was wonderful to see as well.  I captured one guy playing with his dog in the snow at the summit, I'm not sure who was happier.

The other piece of our day after conquering the mountain was going to see Garth Brooks in concert.  It was an absolutely incredible show, we had such a great time.  Of course my big camera wouldn't be allowed in an event like that, but that's okay because sometimes you have to get out from behind the lens and fully take in the experience.

This is a snowball my friend made and threw in the air.  Cool shot.

My travelers enjoying the view...or holding ourselves up to keep from passing out.
